Over the past 30 years, Martin Boulianne has been involved in all aspects of the investment industry. He therefore has a thorough understanding of his clients' needs and requirements. As a chartered professional accountant, Mr. Boulianne is well positioned to provide wealth management services to his clientele of business owners and their families. He takes a prudent approach and respects each client's risk tolerance, objectives, and business considerations.
Mr. Boulianne obtained his chartered accountant designation in 1995. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (1993). He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Mr. Boulianne also holds a license as a life and group insurance representative. This allows him to easily implement the financial plans he develops for his clients.
Before joining Richardson Wealth in 2016, Mr. Boulianne worked for ScotiaMcLeod, where he advised investors and oversaw the Investor Immigration Program. He helped foreign business owners settle in Canada as permanent residents and establish themselves financially and professionally.
Mr. Boulianne was Director of Compliance and Branch Operations for leading investment firms. He also served as an auditor for the Montreal Exchange, where he had direct access to stocks, bonds, credit, futures, and options trading. Finally, he worked for a derivatives company, where he gained institutional experience and strengthened his skills in risk management and regulatory compliance.
He is involved in the financial industry as a member of the Quebec Regional Council of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) and a member of the Quebec chapter of AIMA Canada (Alternative Investment Management Association).
Mr. Boulianne and his wife Marie-Josée have a daughter and a son. He stays in shape by playing tennis and softball in the Saint-Lambert league.
